Stephen Hayes
This month for me has been great
as I’ve been working on my horse’s
suppleness which helps them work
correctly through their bodies. I
haven’t competed in any shows
this month with any of my daily
rides so there has been a lot of
stretching and suppleness work in
the school, rather than practicing
any movements required when out
competing. I find this really helps
the horses keep a gymnastic physical
state so that when shows are on the
horizon, they feel ready to ‘pull off ’
the high-level movements I ask for.
My trainers at Piaffe Performance
Centre, Cesar Parra and Katie
Riley, enjoyed great results at the
USA Young and Developing Horse
Championships with, Fashion
Designer OLD, Toy Story and in the
five year old division, Don Cesar.
The team and I are very proud
of their huge success! A HUGE
CONGRATULATIONS also goes to
my previous trainer, Beatrice Ferrer
Salat, for her success at Aachen!
Third! Amazing!!! Not long until the
winter show season starts which will
be taking place Florida; palm trees,
beaches, warm weather and fantastic
horses to ride and show are just
some of the perks to look forward
too! I’ll be sure to keep you up to
date with all of my goings on in the
states next month! You can find
