DINING ROOMS
Between the fireplace and the ceiling detail , the architecture in this location was already so beautiful that we wanted to use minimal décor to highlight what was already in place , and send the eye to the craftsmanship of the space .

The story of the room is played out in real life

Wallpaper was used on the ceiling to draw attention to the fantastic molding and beams in place . It is nothing too extravagant , but just enough to make a statement that draws the attention upward .
Notice the height of the light fixture above the table . Oftentimes , dining room fixtures are set too low , causing guests to knock their heads when trying to sit down at the table . This is the perfect height .
The mirror over the fireplace in this room helps to open up the space and give length to the room . Sometimes , instead of placing art or a family portrait above the fireplace , you need to put a mirror there . Then the story of the room is played out in real life , right there in the reflection .
