The day had finally come! I decided
to stay at a local hotel for the night
with my bridesmaids, where we had
a wonderful make-up artist and hair
stylist join us. Everyone was busy,
getting into their dresses and mak-
ing sure we had everything. Lee, our
photographer, had now also turned
up and was capturing all those lovely
natural shots. I don’t think anyone
could understand why I was so calm.
I was happy sat with my buck’s fizz
just enjoying every minute. My mum
arrived with my daughter Annie. I
was so excited to see Annie in her
dress. She had a mini version of my
dress, she looked amazing. The time
had come to get me into my dress.
Everyone, apart from my mum, Jo
and Michelle left and headed down
the small sweeping staircase to wait
in the reception. They were joined
by my dad who was waiting nerv-
ously. I stepped into my princess
style gown, which was covered in the
most delicate crystals and had the
corset tightened. The dress was com-
plimented with a cathedral length
veil, also with tiny crystals which
gave the most wonderful sparkle.
As I walked down the stairs and saw
everyone standing at the bottom, I
couldn’t help but get a lump in my
throat, everyone looked amazing.
My chauffer had arrived in his fan-
tastic classic car to take my dad and
I to the church.
The torrential rain temporarily
stopped so we took our chance to get
in.
