Marissa & Anees
The wedding of Marissa & Anees
was both really beautiful, and rather
unconventional as this wasn’t exactly
their first wedding. The couple lives
in Cleveland, Ohio in the USA, and
had their wedding there, and then
decided to celebrate their wedding
in South Africa with friends and
family for a second time, and why
not?!
It was a perfect, sunny November’s
day and that allowed for the
ceremony to take place under the
beautiful trees at Nooitgedacht
Estate
in
the
Stellenbosch
Winelands. There was a fourpiece string quartet, which set an
incredibly romantic scene for the
day and a softly draped gazebo
with gorgeous soft florals to die for!
For pre-drinks, the 120 guests all
gathered on the picturesque lawn,
which was kitted out in a Boho-
[04]
Chic theme, complete with a tipi,
kilim carpets and scatter cushions
laid out everywhere. There were
plenty of pallet ottomans and a
variety of lawn games to keep
guests comfortable, relaxed and
entertained all afternoon.
The reception was held indoors, in
Nooitgedacht’s impressive venue
where the tables were complete
with gold sequins linen and
beautiful, soft floral arrangements,
which all contributed to the theme
perfectly. The bridal couple wanted
to bring in a bit of ‘America’ to
their wedding so they brought in a
suitcase packed with all American
goodness – an abundance of sweets
and chocolates for their candy
station display. And even better,
was the traditional s’more station
which guests, particularly the kids,
loved!
