Anybody lucky enough to travel Qatar Airlines knows what true luxury is all about and when they decided to celebrate their 10 years in service recently in South Africa, we were delighted to be appointed to arrange their Johannesburg and Cape Town Events. Each event oozed a personality larger than life and each suited the style of the host city. The “Contemporary” Cape Town event was hosted at the Daylight Studio, Bree Street. This venue is every artists dream, a room of endless possibilities; a completely blank canvas that usually plays host to photo shoots. That said, its tends to be every Event Managers nightmare as being on the 3rd floor it’s a tough one to get ALL your décor and hiring in and out using just a pulley! Once you get up top though, it’s all worth it as the view of Table Mountain and indeed the City Centre will take your breathe away… We then had true South African beauty in the form of Cindy Nell who was the MC for the evening. The entertainment for the night was spectacular, from Aerial Artists and Cellosphere, to DJ Nigel Jaxx spinning Café del Mar style beats. Signature cocktails were served from the themed Thirst Bar, which added to the overall look and feel of the evening. Event Affairs // Corporate Events Qatar Airways With pockets of stark white furniture filling the white space we added touches of the signature Qatar burgundy in the form of Orchids to the floral arrangements. To top this all off, we added three story’s of blood red carpet to ensure guests felt the sheer luxury the moment they stepped in the door. Watch out for the “Cosmopolitan” Johannesburg event which took place at The Four Seasons Hotel in next months edition [05]
