Planning a
Perfect Proposal
It was a spectacular spring afternoon in
Cape Town - not a cloud in the sky. Durban couple, Muhammed and Aaliya,
were on vacation and visited the gorgeous Tintswalo Atlantic boutique lodge
in Hout Bay. Muhammed suggested
they have a bite to eat at around 7pm.
But before then, he wanted to indulge in
the beautiful views with his girlfriend.
Little did she know that the Event Affairs
team had been busy planning the day
that would change her life.
Behind the scenes, we were preparing a
secluded spot by the pool. He wanted red
roses, and plenty of them! We created a
path of rose petals leading up to a stun-

ning heart-shaped bed of roses. As the
couple arrived, they followed the path and
when they reached the end, Muhammed
got down on one knee and asked Aaliya
to spend the rest of her life with him. She
said… Yes! I mean, who wouldn’t?
The couple toasted to their future and
after the shock of the surprise had worn
off, Muhammed and Aaliya had a
spontaneous photoshoot to capture this
moment together. The evening ended
off with a delicious 5-course meal, in a
private section of the dining room, overlooking Hout Bay Harbour. Congrats to
Muhammed and Aaliya from the entire
Event Affairs team!
