NeVaughn : wait you have a young son modeling as well ? I thought 23 , 24 tops Chasity : No he ' s 3 my photographer just initially only saw him and saw potential in him Thank you ! I ' ll take that ... lol NeVaughn : now you mentioned Latino fashion week are you latino ?
Chasity : No , well not that I know of anyway . Maybe a little bit in there somewhere my family ' s all mixed up , which is beautiful I love it .
NeVaughn : Lol , ok . You have a unique look . What are you mixed up with ? And has that worked for you or against you ?
Chasity : I went to the casting call actually wasn ' t supposed to go they asked for my cousin , a very handsome guy , but I went in there he and I together and I ended up getting the job which was awesome . I also appeared on You and Me on the U for the Latino fashion week modeling a sneak peek of the show . On my mom ' s side it ' s African American , Dutch , Jewish ( I ' m told 75 %) French , and Irish . Cute little love story , back at the end of slavery my grandma however many greats ago was working for this lady I ' m sure not being paid much still , but my grandpa came in an Irish man fell in love with her and paid the woman so she could leave with him , built them a house in the woods and because they couldn ' t legally marry they lived as if they were and had babies and lived happily ever after . My dad ' s side African American and Eskimo . Mom ' s side Blackfoot Indian as well . I ' ve narrowed it down and I know it ' s not politically correct but it works black white French and Indian ... lol
NeVaughn : Eskimo ?... That is interesting . What have been the struggles and downside of the industry as you see it ?
Chasity : Well I ' m short for the industry so trying to find an agency to take me on is nerve wrecking ... Then sometimes I think I ' ve found someone to represent me and the first agent just went totally left , I had to nicely turn him down thank God it was over the phone , instead of sending casting calls it was I want to marry you ... lol . I told him I ' m flattered I really am but I ' m interested in making us both money and earning a living doing what I love . I eventually cut communication with him because he understood but then kept trying to get personal . So I think for women I ' m sure men too trying to nicely keep it professional you ' re going to be tested you just have to be strong enough to say no even if that means oh no more jobs being sent from that person in particular then you know they don ' t control everything and if they make it harder keep working harder and move past all the hurdles they try to put in your way . What God put together no man can take under , and God gave me this dream keeps it burning in me , I ' ve tried quitting so many times due to not seeing myself not even close to how others obviously see me didn ' t think I had what it took , but He ' s persistent . You have to be fearless and not afraid of rejection . Nothing to lose except regret .
NeVaughn : Understood . How tall are you ? Or what are your measurements I ' ve seen you in photos for clothing brands .... which ones have you worked with ?
Chasity : I ' m 5 ' 5 1 / 2 waist : 28 hip : 32 bust : 32C shoe : 7 1 / 2 I can ' t believe I forgot that , I ' m the face of Larry Loves clothing brand Isoberic
NeVaughn : But you have a very good look for print .
Chasity : Thank you , that ' s what I ' m going for and then I ' ll sneak my way onto the catwalk ... lol . I ' ve always wanted to walk for Victoria secrets and my aunt and her sister I never met said the very same thing to me this past Friday , so hopefully soon that job will come to past
NeVaughn : We created a platform specifically for a model just like you . How did you feel or do you remember when The Everyday Girl ( me ) contacted you and what were your thoughts were .
