Q1 where are you from?
I am from Yakima/Seattle Washington,
now living in Dallas Texas
Q2: what do you do for a living?
I am the Founder and CEO of the
Veterans Coalition of North Central Texas.
A non-profit organization that works with
the Military and Veteran community.
Q3: what kind of path did you travel that lead
you to
were you are today?
I followed Gods path. I came from the Health
and Wellness field in the University system.
I've always worked in the community, on a
grant,
or with the "disenfranchised" population.
Q4: is it
hard to be in the position you are in an still be a
parent?
Not necessarily. If you prioritize and keep
yourself
on task you can do both. Your schedule has to
be tight and on your hip at all times.
It definitely helps to have help!
Q5: What is your goal in life and business?
To restore the work ethic of excellence
and service to others. In life, to use every
one of my God given talents, enjoy time
with family and friends, laugh a lot, and live
out loud, and take over the world!
Q6: is their a hero in your life?
All the strong women and mothers that came
before me and paved the way!
Q7: is there anything about your life that if you
could, you would change?
I am not sure?? Everything in my life has
made me who I am today, and I like me today!
Q8:Do you have any new ventures or
endeavors for 2015?
Outside of growing my non-profit to a
Statewide entity...To start two businesses with
my mother! "Heirs of Love" (Baby décor) and
a Tea Cake business, these are not your run of
the meal sugar cookies your use too!
Q9: Is there any changes in your city or
community that you would like to suggest or
hope to see one day?
I would like to see more support for our
Veterans and their families.
Q10: I would like to see mothers, wives,
and business women portrayed in a way
that truly speaks to who we are! We
represent the real B's: Blessed, Beautiful, brains, body, and bank!! lol...We are educated, leaders in our
community, professionals, we are healthy and in shape, we run our homes, take care of our children
and significant others, or happily enjoy our single life, we are highly favored women of God, and we
