The yacht has been converted into a luxurious B&B boat
with accommodation for up to ten people, who can enjoy
the glimmering Mediterranean water and gentle rocking
motion of the sea just 200 metres from the beach, and only
10 minutes on the metro from the centre of Barcelona.
With its peaceful surroundings, spacious sundecks, excellent
service, delicious meals and the opportunity to book the

service, this is a perfect venue for a wonderful holiday in
Barcelona or even for business travellers wanting something
a bit different. As it offers a five-star service, free ADSL,
free parking, and is walking distance of the large CCIB
conference centre of Barcelona, the St. Katharine is an ideal
location to stay during busy working days or even use it as
venue for brainstorming sessions or private meetings.
The Dutch couple Cas and Irene Pijpers rescued the boat from
its former incarnation as a fleet tender supply ship in the
Royal Navy. The boat was built in 1969, originally named the
Denmead A363 and stationed in Portsmouth. It would have
accommodated up to 125 troops en route to their submarines.
In 1994 it was then decommissioned by the Navy.
