changes designed to transform a traditional trade
fair into an experience platform with building a
Baselworld community being a priority. Active
listening to the needs and wishes of all stakeholders
is key, and the upshot of these discussions resulted

lots more to come in 2020 and beyond. The next
edition will already see coordination of show dates
with the SIHH, a new space called “Community
District” in the heart of Hall 1, Gems and Stones
upgraded to a more central location and the
launch of a centralised E-concierge service that will
simplify and reduce costs for all attendees. “The
pipeline is full of exciting new plans,” says Michel
Loris-Melikoff, adding that “we are leaving no stone
unturned in our pursuit of delivering a spectacular
show that is not only in tune with the times, but in
harmony with the needs of our community.”
