GOW 2016 campaign in Poland ( Tydzień z Internetem ) attracted a record number of institutions : more than 500 libraries , schools , culture centres , local NGOs and others . Thanks to their involvement Poland took the second position among 27 countries in terms of participants registered using the mini-survey . The total estimated number of participants in Poland is over 16,000 people .
The new topics promoted this year were a safe e-consumer and online security , inspired by the Digital Single Market strategy . A special quiz was designed for participants to learn how to create a secure Internet password , how to use safely e-banking and what rights protecting consumers buying online are . GOW 2016 was widely covered by Polish TV and radio stations ( TVP3 , Polish Radio ) and online portals ( wiadomosci . onet . pl , samorzad . pap . pl , odpowiedzialnybiznes . pl ).
The campaign obtained the patronage of the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection .

FCT established a stand in “ Futurália ” a big and known fair dedicated to education offers , training and employability . There , from 16 to 19 March , awareness raising activities were carried out in order to promote :
1 . the national eSkills for Jobs campaign 2 . the National Coalition for Digital Jobs and associated projects 3 . the Portuguese Safer Internet Centre ( Centro
Internet Segura ) 4 . an eSkills assessment by inviting bystanders to try the Skillage . eu test
5 . the GOW itself , by encouraging people to elaborate initiatives of their own ( on both Digital Jobs and / or Trust and Confidence thematics ) and register on a GOW 2016 dedicated website .
