BELGIUM http://getonlineweek.eu/belgium/ Maks organised a number of workshops with vulnerable groups of the community to showcase their organisation’s work on empowerment of disadvantaged urban groups through digital media. 8 Roma women were following 1 week workshop to learn digital storytelling. Their stories were about social exclusion, violence against women, housing and work and were turned into short video stories. For the first time in Belgium the campaign was run by Maks vzw. Maks is situated in one of the most deprived neighbourhoods of Brussels, namely Kuregem. Most inhabitants here come from an immigrant background. Within a population of about 25,000 spread over just 2km², there are over 80 different nationalities. Both the unemployment and illiteracy rates are high. Maks is also an on the job training center for NEETs who want to become educator in multimedia and graphic design. CROATIA http://www.getonlineweek.eu/croatia/ Telecentar organized 6 round tables: on e-inclusion of children and youth with physical disabilities; on e-inclusion of children and youth with behavior disorders; on mobile journalism and mobile technologies; on digital agenda for creative municipality of TreÅ¡njevka; on e-facilitators in implementation of the new IT curriculum; and on gaming culture and game development in development of skills and competencies of children and youth. Our partners CTK Rijeka organized workshops on Google search basics, Curriculum Vitae development, Coding with Scratch, Image editing with Pixlr, Dropbox basics, Skype basics, Photoshop basics, Basic robotics, Internet safety, E-citizen program basics, and Coding++. Telecentar also organized a national research on computer programming as one of the key competencies of the 21st century. Finally, two radio shows covering GOW 2016 were organized with the national radio broadcaster - Croatian radiotelevision. 11
