SIXTH DAY

This morning we took the train to Bari,
where we visited the Aldo Moro
University of Bari and got a nice tour,
showing us the infrastructure and
history of this monumental building.
After admiring the art and the fine
architecture of the university we went
to the Balab co-working space to
listen to the stories of immigrants that
received the opportunity to study and
live in Bari. We heard stories about
how it is to be an immigrant, about
their journey, about the integration
process and about the projects they
organise to promote diversity in Bari.
The people of one stop shop – Uniba
and the people from BALAB also
explained their projects to us. After
having some typical Italian focaccia,
Arancini and pizza, we went to the old
historic centre of Bari to participate in
Touplay’s modern version of treasure
hunt, complete with clues provided by
QR-codes. To finish the day in beauty
we enjoyed a guided tour and some
traditional Italian gelato.
I think people who don’t have conflict in their lives are just trying to
please people and not really living life to the fullest.
