EXHIBITOR FOCUS
Telestream - Stand V31,
Hall 10.1
Top level executive speakers and a
host of exhibitors are sure to
attract record numbers to
Europe’s leading event for
broadband, cable and satellite.
Euromedia takes a look at what to
expect in Cologne.
ully six weeks prior to its start, organisers of
ANGA COM were able to declare that the event
is set on a growth path. There are already 440
exhibitor registrations for the Exhibition and
Congress for Broadband, Cable and Satellite
(Cologne Fairgrounds June 9 to 11). Rented floor
space has already exceeded last year’s level with
exhibitors from 35 countries. In 2014, the event
featured 450 exhibitors from 34 countries and
17,000 trade visitors from 78 countries.
“Bookings far exceed our expectations,” admitted Dr. Peter
Charissé, managing director of ANGA COM. “New entries in
the area of network technology and software systems have
enabled us to more than make up for market developmentrelated declines in suppliers of set-top boxes. We have also
further expanded our industry co-operations. We have
recently welcomed eco, the German Internet industry
association, representing around 800 companies, as the 14th
industry association.”
In keeping with the motto ‘Where
Broadband meets Content’, the congress,
which takes place in parallel to the
exhibition, addresses the broadband and
media industry alike. The congress
features a total of 24 expert panels with
more than 130 speakers and moderators
and is held in co-operation with the media
congress Medienforum NRW and 14
leading broadband and media industry
associations. Key topics are TV
Everywhere, Video on Demand,
Multiscreen, Cloud TV, All over IP,
broadband expansion, FTTH, DOCSIS 3.1,
UHDTV, DVB-T2, Connected Home,
RDK, WLAN, CCAP, network neutrality,
media policy, digitisation, and
competition regulations.
