Marketing & PR
Committee Report
Assel Karaulova
Co-Chairperson, PR/ Marketing & PR Committee
EUROBAK Marketing & PR Committee has just turned
three years. The overall summary of our work is that the
committee succeeded in what it’s set out to accomplish
and can be seen in the highly attended meetings.
This year, in the EUROBAK Marketing & PR University we
have trained 30 students from 10 universities of Almaty.
Our trainers are practitioners and experts in PR, marketing
and research from leading international and Kazakhstani
companies. As a result of training, the students developed
practical projects. Some of the graduates have even
been invited to work in a lecturer’s team. This year the
project will be continued, but according to a survey of
participants some corrections have been made to the
thematic training plan.
The 13 th International PR Forum took place in Almaty
18-19 May 2017. Traditionally, EUROBAK has supported
the event and organized a special section on government
communications, which was visited by more than 50
people. This issue is specific for marketing and PR
specialists and was raised in this format for the first time.
The high level of participants allowed everyone to discuss
the key issues of interaction between communication
and GR specialists in companies and the coherence of
their actions within the strategic tasks of reputation
management organizations. The work of this Forum was
widely covered in the media and social networks and
highly esteemed by all participants.
One of the most important objectives of our committee
is to create a platform for discussing key current
problems and issues of the communication industry in
our country, a regular professional exchange of opinions
between marketing and PR specialists of companies, top
management and experts. The committee has organized
several discussions, master classes and presentations,
covering such topics as the work of modern start-ups and
tools for their promotion, sustainable development as an
effective communication tool, and interaction between
GR and PR within companies.
In 2017, we have outlined a rich and interesting work
plan based on feedback and suggestions of committee
members. We do hope for active participation of all
companies, your support and new ideas.
