How to manage dry eye in practice Low Vision – the best job in optics, part 1 Low Vision – the best job in optics, part 2 Dry eye is a very common problem potentially affecting up to 30% of our patients. This interactive lecture demonstrates, with a live consultation, how to actually carry out a dry eye workup in practice from start to finish. It highlights the best ways to take a specific history as well as the key clinical steps to take in order to achieve an accurate diagnosis as well as the best ways to communicate the results with the patient. This presentation explains how a deep understanding of the psychological impact of acquired low vision helps the clinician to maximise the success of the assessment. Videoed case histories underline the key messages throughout the presentation and highlight the value of providing a low vision service. The film also includes a demonstration of some of the common low vision aids as well as some practical aids that can often be overlooked. Is Low Vision the best job in optics?
