Restoring implants with fixed prostheses can and should be a rewarding and profitable process if done correctly.
When not done correctly, it can be a nightmare. It all starts before implant placement with careful diagnosis and
planning. Coordinating treatment between the restorative dentist and surgeon is critical for optimal results. The
purpose of this module will be to cover the entire implant planning and restorative process for fixed restorations from
single units to complex multiple unit restorations.
Introduction ( Lecture/Demo/Hands-On)
This comprehensive lecture/hands-on program will start by covering all necessary diagnostic procedures necessary to
plan for the placement of implants and how to coordinate treatment with your surgical colleague. Getting implants in
the correct position for prosthetic placement is critical for optimal results. Clinical restorative procedures will cover
impressions and provisionals to final prosthetic design and placement. Every prosthesis including a single unit,
multiple units to full arch and mouth restorations have unique challenges. Each will be covered in detail. Hands-on
procedures will allow the participants to gain experience in critical areas. Upon completion of this program, partici-

Dr. Meserkhani
Dr Vahik Paul Meserkhani has lectured extensively on the subject
of Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry both nationally and international-
ly. He received his surgical fellowship from Loma Linda University followed
by a certificate in Prosthodontics and MSD degree in Prosthodontics spe-
cialty. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology,
Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Board eligible
by the American College of Prosthodontics. He maintains a private practice
limited to Prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Glendale, California.
