Periodontal Surgery for the GP: Mod. 1
Everyday Surgical Procedures
Friday/Saturday TBA, 2018
If you have to delay restorative treatment until periodontal surgical treatment is completed, this course is for you.
Many common everyday periodontal procedures can be performed by a general dentist if they attain a “comfort
zone” through comprehensive hand-on lab and clinical training. The purpose of this periodontal workshop will be
to provide the foundation of knowledge and experience necessary to perform a comprehensive diagnosis and basic
periodontal surgical procedures on Monday.
Introduction ( Lecture/Demo/Hands-On)
This two day program starts by providing a foundation of fundamental periodontal knowledge that is necessary to
build a comprehensive diagnosis, treatment plan and surgical plan. Pre-surgical planning is the key success. The
majority of this program will be devoted to covering several common surgical techniques and how to perform them
with predictable results.
