The Comeback Kitchen Queen
Very few kitchen companies knew how to correctly
install them too and, as a result, this love affair was
unfortunately a short-lived one.
Today, the demand for a complete kitchen solution
combining clean aesthetic design with practicality,
advanced technology and a better sense of space has
meant integrated appliances are making a comeback.
The Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA) has noticed
the movement filtering into the local market, with
some key trends. Kitchen designs from Europe are
focused on less is more, uncluttered by fancy door
profiles, handles, counter tops and undisturbed by
freestanding appliances.
Integrated appliances are designed expressly to be
hidden from view and to the untrained eye the kitchen
appears to be minus all major appliances. They also
add to the design by enhancing the aesthetic and
increasing the sense of space, making them perfect
for a compact kitchen. The correct installation of
an integrated appliance is essential and not every
kitchen company is capable it so it is important to
select a company experienced and properly trained
to install appliances and homeowners should seek
advice from the appliance manufacturer or retailer
as to which companies have completed installation
training. Poor installation can prevent the appliance
from operating correctly, leading to additional costs
and voiding the manufacturer’s warrantee.
