Its Granville Island Stage has a hopping bar, the Backstage Lounge, with post-show live music some nights. The fare on offer in the theatre tends towards musicals, classics, dramas and contemporary comedies, with some premieres. The 2017- 18 season is Artistic Director Bill Millerd ’s last, after 45 years shepherding the Arts Club from tiny hall to the city’s domi- nant mainstage. Now that deserves a standing ovation.
