Crestron has entered into a new partnership with luxury yacht
manufacturer Hatteras Yachts and global technology integrator AHT
Global, to outfi t the new M90 Motor Yacht with Crestron technology.
With decades of experience outfi tting luxury yachts around the
world, Crestron says it is well positioned to provide dependable and
robust technology. With a Crestron control system, the simple touch
of a button allows the customer to control AV, lights, shades, pools
and hot tubs, security cameras and motorised awnings.

providing customers with versatility and a customisable experience
when it comes to their unique transportation needs,” said Casey Collins,

Matrix Labs joins Z-Wave Alliance
Matrix Labs has
achieved Z-Wave
Plus certifi cation
Following the successful launch of its Matrix Creator Raspberry Pi-
based dev board, Matrix Labs has achieved Z-Wave Plus certifi cation.
According to Matrix Labs co-founder and CEO Rodolfo Saccoman,
the announcement marks the Matrix Creator’s offi cial introduction to
the residential AV market, as it opens up entirely new possibilities for
custom installers.
“Following a rigorous evaluation process, Z-Wave certifi cation for
the Matrix Creator serves as a signifi cant vote of confi dence from
the residential trade community,” Rodolfo emphasised. “It validates
our claim that custom installers can successfully leverage Matrix
Creator and our proprietary Matrix OS to build matrix-based IoT
apps that perfectly complement any home automation system, and
deliver functionality that may not be available through the large scale
automation systems.”
Matrix Creator incorporates a Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA, an
ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller, a range of sensors for motion,
temperature, humidity, light, ultraviolet and infrared, an eight-
microphone array and a 35-LED array. Th e board, which can be
programmed in 40 different languages, also incorporates
integrated Z-Wave and zigBee communications plus
connectivity via a wide range of analogue and digital input/
output interfaces. It can also be used in standalone mode
using its onboard processing capability.
