Aquavision has launched
a range of outdoor TVs which
will withstand nearly all extreme
weather conditions, available
in the UK from distributor
Habitech. The waterproof
Horizon televisions are based
on the established Nexus+
and Elite 4K range, and are
available in various sizes, 32in,
42in, 55in, 65in and 85in. The
anti-refl ective LED screens
provide high quality pictures
and brightness, which ensures
optimum viewing even in the brightest
sunshine. The VESA mount televisions are packed with
features such as IP control, DVB-T2/S2 receivers and
two HDMI and USB inputs. RS232, IP and discrete IR
control are standard and IP65 rating ensures the sets are
fully protected against water, dust, sand, moisture and
insects. The Horizon televisions are fully compatible with
all leading control systems and will be able to handle
temperatures of -40° and up to 110° C without any
problems. All TVs offer Aquavision’s 178° viewing angle
and anti-mist heated screen.
EI also caught up with Ketan Hirani, managing director
of PictureFrame.TV to fi nd out why hidden TVs are so
in demand for the luxury market. Ketan explains, “Our
main product line is hidden TVs and we’re always asked
how to hide TVs in mirrors and behind pictures. On the
new ArtTV, we’re now using Qmotion mechanisms which
provide a super quiet motor. The ArtTV is now selling
more than we’ve ever done before, I think because it’s a
completely wireless and retro fi t product, which makes it
an installers dream.”
Mirror TVs are a hugely popular choice. Ketan says,
“Our MirrorTV products are always in demand. Since
starting the business six years ago, we’ve seen the
average TV size go from 40in to now typically between
49in to 55in. With TVs getting larger and larger, the need
to hide them has increased, hence why we’re selling so
many more.” Personalisation wise, PictureFrame.TV are
able to offer a unique range of frames, both off the shelf
and bespoke, and often receive specifi c client frame
requirements which can be fabricated from scratch.
Whilst audio and visual quality for TVs should be of
the highest quality, CI customers now demand more from
their products and the designs being produced refl ect
this transformation. Not only is the technology high end,
but the design must now also be high art. TVs in standby
mode are hidden behind paintings or concealed as
decorative mirrors, form and function in perfect harmony,
creating the ultimate in supreme screens.
