EI takes control and looks at some of the latest developments in lighting.
The way we control lighting has transformed over the last
few years with the rise of smart, wireless systems that put
more control in users’ hands than ever before.
Pulse Cinemas’ MD Mike Beatty says: “When it comes
to lighting control, Lutron is the world’s expert. Ever since
the company’s founder invented the modern dimmer
switch 60 years ago, Lutron has been the industry leader,
and is now pioneering today’s cutting-edge systems.
“Digital technology and wireless communications have
made lighting control more powerful and sophisticated
than ever, while keeping it simple and intuitive to use. And
thanks to the latest sensors, timers and pre-set scenes,
lights can be dimmed up or down, switched on or off,
or can even change colour in response to occupancy,
ambient light levels or the time of day.”
Pulse is a big fan of the Lutron’s HomeWorks QS
system, designed with high-end residences in mind,
enabling users to control interior and exterior lighting
as well as blinds and shading. HomeWorks QS works
with Lutron’s range of stylish controllers, dimmers and
shades and can integrated with other systems that
control HVAC and AV technology.
With 1% dimming, there will be no unexpected surprises
in the middle of the night.
