This project was won after the developer put the
scheme out to tender and Pro Install AV came out on top.
Sajid explains: “The job was put out to tender by
the developer and we won it. The brief was to provide
a fully integrated home with Lutron blinds throughout,
260+ lighting circuits, HVAC, security, cinema room and
multi-room AV. We recommended a fibre backbone,
which wasn’t in the original brief, but the idea of
future proofing broadband speed and therefore the
convenience of rapid download speeds, access and
control was really attractive to the client. We also
extended the job to incorporate garden sound after
we assured the client it was possible to design high
quality audio and broadband coverage in the large
surrounding garden.”
The company was also required to work with interior
design company Moderno Interiors to create an AV
installation that was architecturally and aesthetically
in-tune with the design objectives for the whole property.
The project also required robust and fast Wi-Fi access
for which a Ruckus 802.11ac system was used and the
team also specified a future-proofing fibre network.
Sajid explains: “We partnered with distributor
Habitech to supply the cable and Wi-Fi access
infrastructure, as well as the speakers for interior and
exterior areas and also all the equipment for a media
room cinema.
“Habitech worked with us to develop the
specification for the project, coordinating the supply
of product at each stage of the build to satisfy
performance targets and deadlines. Their close support
included key product demonstrations and the supply
of a virtual Wi-Fi heat map, which proved invaluable to
winning customer approval.”
With AV performance being a big end-goal, Sajid,
says: “We chose Sonance for all speakers inside and
out because of its huge range of quality audio solutions
from one supplier. Our Habitech also helped us with
