Wisdom’s application of line source and transmission line
technology involving vertical arrays of proprietary Planar
Magnetic Drivers (PMDs) and moving-coil mid-bass units,
complemented by proprietary Regenerative Transmission
Line (RTL) subwoofer designs through electronic
crossovers, has created a magical full-range performance
chemistry, custom-made for bespoke in-wall integration.
By perfecting line source topology, Wisdom’s systems
deliver the full-frequency impact of a conventional high-
end freestanding box - with half the propagation loss -
from taller, slimmer cabinets, ideal for fl ush-fi tting.
What’s more its line source implementation generates
a naturally wide horizontal dispersion while minimising
fl oor/ceiling refl ections. This means that Wisdom
gives you a generous sweet spot, tailored perfectly
for the seating arrangements of larger home theatres.
Coincidence? Not a chance. Wisdom’s proprietary
designs perform an acoustical double whammy,
simultaneously maximising the breadth and quality of the
system response and minimising room interaction. The
precise union of breath-taking home theatre sound and
luxurious ultra-discreet aesthetics doesn’t come cheap,
but it’s fabulously effective and exclusive.

As with all great design, Wisdom’s success resides in the
brilliantly logical way it handles the detail. For instance,
by chemically bonding the voice coil track to a high
temperature polyimide thin-fi lm diaphragm and then
surrounding it with the extraordinary force of tiny rare-earth
neodymium magnets, Wisdom’s proprietary PMD driver
behaves more like a moving coil without the downsides.
This means it’s able to combine super-clean detail and an
even, controlled dispersion with high dynamic range and
sensitivity across a uniquely extended response.
Beyond the mid-bass arrays, Wisdom’s Regenerative
Transmission Line (RTL) subwoofer tech sends energy
from the back of the driver up a tuned pipe in such a
way that its lowest frequencies arrive back at the front
side of the driver in phase, effectively summing the
output. Deployed across a seven-strong sub range,
but invisible in Wisdom’s in-wall S110, S90i and S55i
sub enclosures, RTL transforms the potency of in-wall
bass design while allowing the enclosures to fi t snuggly
within a typical stud bay.
Scalable Installation Flexibility
I’m excited about Wisdom Audio’s potential to
