Introduction
Welcome to our Future Tech Trends supplement , the first of four supplements EI will deliver this year on some key areas of development for the smart building and AV market . Later this year we will produce a home cinema supplement and as for the others , well you will just have to wait and see , there are some exciting subjects on the way .
As for now , well , the future is now ; we turn our attention to what might happen in the near and further away future and how this might affect installers and the work they are doing . Technology by definition does not stand still , some ideas fail , others triumph , sometimes it is hard tell which will be the former and which will be the latter .
