RTI And Invision Expand In The Netherlands
RTI is expanding its partnership with UK-based CI distributor Invision ; which will see the company expand its distribution base from the UK to also include the Netherlands .
Invision Europe will be solely responsible for RTI distribution in Netherlands , with the distributor providing direct access to RTI ’ s full range of control and automation solutions , alongside dedicated services designed to support dealers in serving their customers . This includes access to product shipping from stock , technical support and training opportunities . “ Invision offers a well-balanced portfolio of custom install solutions backed by excellent service and support ,” said Wim Voet , international sales manager , EMEA at RTI .

Kaleidescape Sets Its Stall Out For 2017
Pulse Cinemas hosted a special event recently at the Crestron Design Centre in Chelsea showcasing Kaleidescape ’ s plan for 2017 .
After a challenging business situation in 2016 which saw Kaleidescape restructuring and refocusing based around feedback from dealers and installers , the company was keen to follow this up with detailed plans for future development .
Cheena Srinivasan , founder and CEO of Kaleidescape , flew into the UK to address an invited audience of Pulse Cinemas dealers to present the latest news regarding Kaleidescape ’ s plans for the coming year .

the UK attending the event , the company was able to highlight key advances on the platform , including upgrades to the Strato product which will now have support for 4K HDR and highbitrate Dolby Atmos , as part of the kOS 7.3 software update . The update also delivers the ability to configure a large number of Strato players in a single system . Strato can now play 4K HDR movies using the HDR10 open standard , including support for SMPTE 2084 EOTF ( PQ ) and the BT . 2020 colour space with 10-bit colour depth .
The KOS 7.3 also improves the onscreen UI when customers have multiple versions of the same movie ( 4K HDR , 4K Ultra HD , and Blu-ray quality ) on the system . Users no longer need to decide which version of a movie to play , as the system automatically presents only the best quality movie that can be played , taking into account both the type of player being used and the capability of the display device .
