Optoma’s projector
has an enhanced
gaming mode for
speedy scores
Optoma has unveiled the next evolution of its
HD28DSE home entertainment projector, the
HD29Darbee. With 3,200 lumens, this new model is
brighter, smaller, and quieter.
Exclusive to Optoma projectors, the new
HD29Darbee boasts integrated DARBEE Visual
Presence image enhancement technology for high-
quality levels of depth, clarity and realism. Enhanced
Gaming Mode is also included with a 16ms response
time for a fast response in games that depend on
reaction time.
Joe Ahmed, head of marketing at Optoma
EMEA, says: “Building on the success of the popular
HD28DSE, the new HD29Darbee is an all round
home entertainment projector with added innovation
– Darbee Visual Presence processing. The addition of
higher brightness, smaller chassis, quieter operation
and an enhanced colour wheel, make this model an extremely convenient choice for use in any living space.”
Weighing less than 2.5kg the HD29Darbee can be transported with an optional carry bag for a sports event, movie
night or games marathon. Two HDMI inputs enable an easy setup – well suited for connecting a laptop, PC, Blu-ray
player, media streamer or games console. This projector also works with Optoma’s WHD200 which is designed to
stream video content wirelessly – up to 20 metres in any room.
For added convenience, the HD29Darbee comes with an integrated speaker that delivers 10W audio. Despite the
small dimensions of the projector, the level of audio created will easily fi ll a living space, says the maker. An audio
output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.
