Crestron adds that it was careful not to make any changes that would disrupt how installers operate now and commission TSWs . The styling and colours remain the same , as does power via PoE and easy mounting options .
Going up in size to one of the biggest products of its kind on the market , the TS-1542 delivers a 15.6in full HD touchscreen display and high-performance digital graphics engine . Crestron says the design features premium metallic construction and edge-toedge glass for a contemporary look that will work for a home or corporate setting . Featuring enhanced Smart Graphics performance and dual-window HD streaming video display , the TS-1542 also delivers the abilities to control any function using voice commands , browse the Internet , annotate over a video image or whiteboard screen and communicate using built-in VoIP intercom and phone functions .
Single-wire PoE + connectivity and a choice of tabletop , wall , or VESA mounting options are available and standard finishes include either white or dark grey metallic , or choose the Signature Series option to design a unique custom finish .
Despite its large screen , the unit is only 1-3 / 4 inches ( 45 mm ) deep , so can be mounted in a wide choice of locations using the supplied wall mount kit or a thirdparty VESA 100 compliant mounting arm , bracket , or stand . A tabletop tilt model ( TS-1542-TILT ) is also offered , which features a smooth tilt base for use on a table , desk , podium , or countertop .
Available from June will be a portrait oriented unit , the TSW-560P , presented as offering a clean , contemporary design highlighted by edge-to-edge glass and impressive colour graphics .
Wall or lectern mounted , the TSW-560P has been created to be at home in residences or commercial settings with its portrait-oriented 5in capacitive touchscreen display with Smart Graphics and five softtouch buttons . PoE connectivity and a range of mounting options are in place and additional advanced features include the abilities to control any function using voice commands , view security cameras and other video sources , communicate using built-in intercom and phone capabilities , browse the Internet and enjoy full access to a Sonos system via Crestron ’ s native compatibility with the music platform .
Crestron has also been making a big noise about enhancements to its programming software . The new version of Crestron Studio has been specifically created to offer an approach where systems can be created more easily with less programming . This should mean either installers have the option of creating a straightforward system less programming than before , or they can go full out bespoke , but have more time to spend on the really personal touches as the all the basics are now faster and easier to create . With the new version of Crestron Studio , complete touchscreen interfaces , adding components and creating custom living solutions can all be done without having to write a single line of code . The new Crestron Studio is also fully compatible with Crestron Pyng software , so functionalities such as Pyng Smart Graphics software applications and Pyng Trigger / Listens can be added to Studio projects . Other new built-in functionalities include the native compatibility with Sonos mentioned above as well as new UI options which make it easier to create intuitive interfaces and keep them that way with regular updates .
UK distributor Invision continues its support and supply of the RTI brand and recent additions look to address increased communication abilities . New video intercom support for select RTI controllers and thirdparty intercom-enabled devices , is billed as being ideal for front door access , security gates , intra-office and room-to-room applications .

RTI ’ s video intercom capabilities are supported on the KX3 , KX7 , and KX10 in-wall touch panels , the CX7 and the upcoming CX10 countertop / under-cabinet touch panels , as well as the company ’ s flagship T3x – delivering the company ’ s first video intercom-enabled handheld controller . Via a free firmware update , dealers can also leverage video communications on compatible devices that support H . 264-based video intercom via SIP . These devices also support auto answer or do not disturb modes , while a push-to-talk audio mode lets users communicate via voice only from device to device .
