Monitor Audio is back at the show will a whole host of new products
Completing a busy Alltrade stand , HDL ’ s range of smart lighting controllers , complete with a wide range of colour touch panels will be on show , along with HDBaseT distribution systems from Bluestream . Sanus wall mounts and brackets will be available to solve TV installation challenges , while Ubiquiti ’ s enterprise-class networking products will address domestic networking issues .

David Baxter , CEO , Gallo Acoustics , explains : “ Fifteen years ago my company brought a little know Californian loudspeaker brand to the UK and then a dozen other European markets . The brand was Anthony Gallo Acoustics . When the U . S . -based founders decided that they had taken the company as far as they could , and were looking for someone who might be interested in taking over the reins , they came to us , their longstanding European distributor . Despite interest from other parties , in July 2016 a deal was struck and the Anthony Gallo Acoustics brand was under our ownership . I ’ m pleased to say that our purchase is with the full ongoing support and goodwill of the founders , including Mr Gallo , who has indicated a desire to collaborate on future projects . Now headquartered in Lanark , Scotland , the re-branded , rejuvenated Gallo Acoustics is now open for business .”
David adds : “ EI Live ! Live is the ideal opportunity to reintroduce the Gallo Acoustics brand to the CI channel in the UK . This will be the first time for many people to see our new brand identity , new colour finishes and improved mounting hardware and with attractive reseller margins and support , Gallo Acoustics is an ever better proposition than ever .
Gallo Acoustics will be presenting the classic Micro and A ’ Diva satellite speakers , high performance Micro SE and A ’ Diva SE variants , the high performance , reference standard Strada 2 and recently updated TR3D subwoofer along with a range of flexible mounting options . EI Live ! will also be the first place to discuss the new SPECTRUM bespoke colour service and to preview a range of ten new standard colour finishes . DLS of Sweden ( Stand 48 ) will return to EI Live ! showcasing the Flatbox range of on-wall loudspeakers and subwoofers alongside a full range of in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers featuring slimline magnetic grilles .
Brand highlights include D-One , a slimline speaker which still packs a punch with up to 150W power handling , while exhibiting the natural , organic acoustic qualities that are a Flatbox trademark . Available in High Gloss finishes and with eight different coloured speaker grilles , the D-One can be tailored to enhance any interior .
The familiar Flatbox range , which has now grown to seven different variants , continues to provide a mix of audio performance and minimalistic style . Hanging on a wall like a picture , Flatbox installation is designed to be quick and simple and the flexibility of a large range of sizes means there are Flatbox speakers to suit any environment . The wall- mountable- , active subwoofer range provides additional low-end grunt where required . Flatbox loudspeakers and subwoofers are available in a choice of satin white or piano black finishes and each comes complete with black and white detachable grilles , providing an added element of visual customisation .
The Flatsub Midi looks to deliver a subtle in-room presence whilst still delivering the low frequency performance required . By turning the Flatsub concept through 180 ° and mounting both the driver and the 150W Class D amplifier on the rear of the case , facing the wall , the Flatsub Midi was created to offer performance and style .
Integration and connection is straightforward with lowpass filter , phase and volume controls , as well as low-level inputs and outputs .
The Flatsub 8.2 takes things up a little , offering more power than previous models but maintaining the same on-wall form factor .
The Flatsub 8.2 is suitable for both music and home cinema applications and a new Class D amplifier boasts 250W powering the 8in driver to offer a strong combination of definition and bass . Adding to the space saving qualities , another trick is the ability to hang the subwoofer horizontally or vertically .
