suitable for residential projects including surface mounted
electric screens, in-ceiling (recessed) electric screens and
fi xed frames for dedicated cinemas. Brand new is variant
of electric screen, the Wave Tensioned Plus, a high-end
designer electric screen which features an attractive case,
hidden wall mounts and fast, but quiet operation. It also
features a nice detail where the motor slows at the end
of its drop and also as its closing as the weighted bar
reaches the case, bit like a soft-close drawer. The screen
is available from 6ft to 13ft and can be ordered with the
company’s 4K HomeVision matt white, Grey high contrast
or micro-perforated materials. These screens are made to
order and have a lead time of three weeks.
Distributor Invision is currently highlighting the abilities
of the Nero 4 from SIM2, a single-chip DLP UHD machine.
Featuring Texas Instruments’ DLP 4K UHD chipset, the
maker says NERO 4 delivers high brightness (up to 5000
ANSI lumens light output in hi-bri mode) driven by a new
450W lamp and an accurate, vibrant colour palette. The
machine also has high-precision and resolution optics
and SIM2’s own video processing technology. SIM2 has
also provided a high-precision telecentric optical system.
The pure-glass lens provides a resolution of 93 lines per
millimetre to guarantee strong on-screen clarity.
Installation aids include motorised zoom and focus, plus
optical lens shift to adjust the position of the image up to 70%
vertically and 30% horizontally. NERO 4 also includes Perfect
Fit, a programmable zoom, focus and lens shift feature which
facilitates a lens-free option to create 2.40:1
