l’utilisation de l’aventure comme médium thérapeutique. En effet, ce dernier, qui utilise quotidiennement les concepts d’activité, de personne, d’occupation et d’environnement pour bâtir ses interventions,
peut aisément les appliquer dans un contexte d’activités de groupe offrant un milieu encadré d’aventure.
D’ailleurs, une vision ergothérapique et, par le fait
même, holistique, permet de bien saisir l’interaction
entre ces concepts. Par exemple, l’ergothérapeute
peut évaluer les interactions entre les différentes
personnes présentes, la gestion des émotions liée
aux imprévus occasionnés par la nature, la tolérance
à l’effort et la frustration dans un contexte de
randonnée pédestre, la résolution de problèmes
réels en lien avec le campement et bien d’autres
mentionnés précédemment. Bien que l’aventure soit
une intervention utilisée depuis plusieurs années
dans des contextes variés, il demeure essentiel de
l’appliquer de manière professionnelle, organisée et
préparée dans le but de fournir une intervention de
qualité pour les usagers et ainsi éviter les idées
préconçues réductionnistes réprimant l’aspect thérapeutique pouvant y être associé.
