EMERGENCIES
30.1 In the event of an emergency during a Let, it is agreed that the Authorised Officer may require that an
event be stopped immediately in any or all parts of the Theatre.
30.2 In the case of an emergency affecting the Theatre, the Hirer shall required to comply with the
instructions of the Authorised Officer and/or the emergency services.
30.3 Where either any member of the emergency services or the Authorised Officer gives a direction to the
Hirer and that direction is ignored, or not complied with fully, the Culture and Leisure Trust shall have
no liability for any injury and/or damage to persons or property which may result as a consequence
thereof.
GENERAL ASSISTANCE TO BE PROVIDED BY THE HIRER
31.1
The Hirer shall assist Culture and Leisure staff in ensuring that the Theatre is maintained in a safe
condition throughout the duration of the Let, including ensuring that:

All relevant UK health and safety legislation is understood and adhered to (e.g. HASAWA (1974);
PUWER ( 1998); LOLER (1998); CDM (2015) etc)
passages, corridors and doorways are kept free from obstructions
fire appliances are not covered or blocked in any way
unauthorised intruders or suspicious activity are reported promptly to the Authorised Officer
any and all accidents are reported immediately to the Authorise Officer
The Hirer shall ensure that the areas they have let shall be cleared of all persons by the termination
of the Let.
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure reserves the right to add to, alter or cancel any of these
regulations.
