TICKET SALES AND BOX OFFICE
For the hire of the Theatre only:
19.1 All events within the Theatre must be placed on the Theatre’s box office system and all tickets must
be sold through the theatre box office unless otherwise agreed with theatre management.
19.2 Seating plans for all events, including maximum audience numbers, must be approved by the
Authorised Officer in writing at least six months prior to the commencement of the Let, or at the time
of confirming the Let if the Let will commence within 6 months of the confirmation.
19.3 Once a seating configuration for the auditorium has been agreed, tickets must not be issued in excess
of the stated maximum occupancy levels for that configuration.
19.4 Arrangements for ticket sales must be approved in writing by the Authorised Officer in writing at least
six months prior to the commencement of the Let or at the time of the confirmation of the Let, or at
the time of confirming the Let if the Let will commence within 6 months of the confirmation.
19.5 Any Hirer who has received tickets from the box office for sale through their own channels may return
any unsold tickets to then be sold by the box office. This should happen no later than two weeks prior
to the commencement of the Let.
19.6 The Culture and Leisure Trust reserves the right to charge the Hirer’s customers a postage fee as
specified in the Schedule of Fees and Charges current at the date of the Let for any ticket orders
posted out.
19.7 Revenues for ticket sales made on behalf of the Hirer, net of any agreed deductions, will be forwarded
to the Hirer after the Let has been completed and the Hirer’s account has been settled.
19.8 Hirers are not permitted to sell tickets from their own allocation while on the premises.
19.9 A commission of 10% of gross ticket sales will be deducted by the Culture and Leisure Trust to cover
the charge made by the third party provider of the box office system.
