11.0 12.0 13.0 LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO CULTURE AND LEISURE TRUST PROPERTY 11.1 The Hirer shall be responsible for any loss of or damage to any property belonging to the Culture and Leisure Trust during the Let whether caused by the Hirer, any of the Hirer’s audience members, participants or other invited guests. 11.2 The Hirer shall not make any alterations to the fabric of the building or its fixtures, furniture or equipment. 11.3 Nails, screws or staples shall not be driven into the structure, furniture, fixtures or fittings or any part of the Theatre. 11.4 Signs, advertisements and similar notices shall not be affixed to walls, doors, windows or other surfaces unless the Hirer has first obtained the permission of the Authorised Officer. DELIVERIES IN ADVANCE OF A LET 12.1 No equipment, properties or other goods are to be delivered to the Theatre prior to the commencement of a Let except with the prior written agreement of the Authorised Officer . 12.2 It is agreed that where deliveries are to be made after the agreement of the Authorised Officer as specified in Condition 12.1 hereof, the Authorised Officer accepting such deliveries will not be required to take an inventory of the delivery before accepting same. 12.3 The Culture and Leisure Trust shall not be responsible for loss or damages, however caused, to equipment, properties or any other items delivered to the Theatre, prior to the commencement of a Let. SMOKING Smoking will not be permitted in any part of the Theatre in accordance with the provisions of the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005. This includes all entrances, exits and fire exits of Culture and Leisure Trust premises or the surrounding curtilage. 14.0 13 SALE/CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR 14.1 The Culture and Leisure Trust’s designated contractor shall have the exclusive right to sell alcohol at events within the Theatre. 14.2 No alcohol shall be consumed on the premises after 11:00 pm or during the thirty minutes prior to termination of the Let. 14.3 It is understood that no alcoholic liquor will be consumed by any member of the Hirer or persons employed by them or working voluntarily with them, in any area of the Theatre before or during their period of duty. Any such person thought to be under the influence of alcohol or any substance that, in the opinion of the Authorised Officer, renders them unable to fulfil their duties will be requested to leave the premises. 14.4 The Hirer may request that alcohol not be sold from the upstairs bar facility during children’s or family events, but the Culture and Leisure Trust will not be obliged to accede to such request. The Culture and Leisure Trust will be the sole arbiter in the event of a disagreement as to what constitutes a “family” or “children’s” event.
