Danielle Crespo caught up with Long Beach pole winner Nicolas Prost to chat about his return to U.S. shores and the response the locals are giving the Formula E circus.
How do you feel that the American fan base has been? I know you haven't had a chance to experience it much in Long Beach yet as the race is still to come, but how did you like Miami?
I'm pretty used to America because I lived here for three years and I raced a lot in the ALMS in Sebring and Petit Le Mans. I know the Americans and they're really good motorsport fans.
They really like the racing so Miami has been the best event we've had. I expect Long Beach to be quite nice. It's very different, because racing in Miami has always been inconsistent but Long Beach has been here forever. So, I expect to have more regular fans here.
There's so much Formula 1 and IndyCar talent here, plus history of the Long Beach track itself. I'm excited to see what Formula E will take from all of this history and talent for this new series.
Exactly - in Miami it was different. With Long Beach and Monaco we'll be going to places with a lot of racing history. Let's see!
