Salvador Duran was hungry for more Formula E action as he suited up for Amlin Aguri in Miami. The Mexican replaced Katherine Legge in the Miami ePrix. Originally Duran had an agreement in place with Aguri to compete in just the two south American rounds of Buenos Aires and Punta del Este. Legge stepped aside to compete in the Sebring12 with Delta Wing Racing however we understand that she will be back in the seat of her Aguri Formula E car again.

Before the race, team boss Aguri Suzuki said,

“Salvador is an experienced and talented driver and we’re pleased to have him on the team now that we are moving to the Americas...he (Salvador) has shown his speed in previous one-make series like Formula Renault 3.5 and A1GP so his knowledge will push the team further.”

Duran joined Antonio Felix da Costa in Miami. The pair had a respectable race but did not capture the results they had hoped for. da Costa finished 6th and Duran crossed the line in 10th, some 16 seconds behind his team mate despite his FANBOOST advantage.
