Into the

Frying

Pan

As our Managing Editor Ernesto Nigro aptly pointed out to me the other week, “We are about to write a new chapter in in the life of E-Racing”.

He wasn’t wrong. Conducting our first FIA accredited WEC event at Silverstone has been a frantic and humbling experience. We can write about this and that. Report the news, inject opinion etc... But reporting live, having presence and making face to face contact is... Well there’s just no substitute. In fact, in the increasingly sterile nature of top-line motorsport, WEC’s effervescent atmosphere sets it apart in its ability to re-inject enthusiasm for the sport – even amongst the most jaded journalists.

The WEC reminds you to STOP every now and then and drink it all in. The sights, the sounds, the smells and the feelings which can only be felt by those fortunate enough to be close to the action.

As such, we’ve done our best to bring that enthusiasm to the readers of E-Racing with a whopping 100-page Silverstone Issue. Yes, it’s been a tough slog this week for our men on the ground, Alex Goldschmidt, James Newbold and the team at home base. But we like to think the end result has been worth the wait.

Enjoy!
