The team celebrated their win with a quiet dignity in the garage, but literally waved their own four-ringed flags before sharing plenty of champagne and at the podium ceremony.

Both Porsche 919 Hybrids rounded out the top 5 with the #14 of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb finishing ahead of the #20. The #7 Toyota of Alexander Wurz, Stephane Sarrazin and Mike Conway completed the results for the LMP1-H category, as the #12 Rebellion Racing R-One of Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfled and Mathias Beche took a well-deserved and fault free run to the flag.

The #CLM P1/01 AER of Christophe Bouchut, James Rossiter and sportscar debutant Lucas Auer took second place in its first outing, with the Romanian squad being forced to start from the pitlane after technical issues.

The #13 Rebellion car of Fabio Leimer, Dominik Kraihamer and Andrea Belicchi were the only retirees in the race, as the Toyota-powered entry was forced to stop its progress with just an hour left on the clock.
