The Prospeed Porsche 911 RSR of Emmanuel Collard, Matthieu Vaxivière and Francois Perrodo were kept under pressure to take pole position from two other manufacturers ahead of race day.

The #98 Vantage V8 of Richie Stanaway, David Heinemeier Hansson and Kristian Poulsen would have to settle for second place having been pipped by Proton late in the session.

Three Ferrari 458 Italias were in the hunt for pole position as well, but after the dust had settled, it was the #61 AF Corse car of Mirko Venturi, Luis-Perez Companc and Marco Cioci that would end up rounding out the top three.
