Rule #5- Get rid of distractions

When you join a sport, you can only focus on that part of your life. You cannot let distractions get to you. Who even needs to do homework when you can just go on a run instead? Who needs to pay attention in class while you can think of new plays and catch up on your skills? Better yet, just skip the class in general if it gets in the way of you concentrating ON YOUR SPORT ONLY.

If your girlfriend has been getting needy...DUMP HER. You don’t need her! Especially during such an important phase of your life.

Rule #6- Get close to the coach

There’s only one person that decides your place on the team: The coach. You do not want to get on his bad side, so make him your best friend. Follow him after school. Wherever he goes, you go. And if he sees you, then talk to him for hours. Get his phone number and call him at 3 AM, he’ll be happy to answer.

Note: If he starts to become a bit creeped out, take a break for a day and get back into the routine as soon as possible.

Rule #7- Get gear

You can’t be an athlete without the best gear out there. Go shopping and buy as much gear as you can. The more expensive, the better, right? Get everything! From hundreds of comfy T-shirts, spandex, spikes, cleats, basically everything. You’ll need as much help as you can get. Plain old running shoes WILL NOT work! You must buy those newly released Nike Flyknit Air Max. They’re only a couple hundred more. You may have never even run in your life, but as soon as you put those bad boys on, you’ll be the best on the team.

Note: If you don’t have the money for new gear, then use your resources. If you see some good shoes laying around, TAKE THEM, no one will ever know it was you.

*These rules don’t work 100% of the time, every athlete is different.
