Your Employment Package

People choose employment based on their needs. They weigh up many factors such as enjoyment, career prospects, training, flexibility, renumeration, benefits, time off, location and many more. If you’re having ongoing difficulties filling a position, or have high staff turnover then you may need to look at how you can improve your employment offer to make it more attractive to the right candidate.

Obviously a different kind of business, but he knows a thing or two about running a successful business.

Everyone says the customer is key when actually, perhaps it’s employees, as you can free up your own time by delegating and when they’re trained well, have full confidence in how they’re representing your business and treating your customers and horses. In fact, Sir Richard has another gem on this…

“Customers do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of your customers.”

Of course, we’re not forgetting the horses. Their welfare is paramount, however, much like customers, take care of your employees and they’ll take care of your horses.

Staff Training

People want to learn, grow and feel valued. A simple training plan can help with this and is something you can do to increase staff retention. As Richard Branson says…

“Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough, so they don't want to”
