1. African Horse sickness
There have been a number of confirmed cases
of AHS, serotype 7, from just north of Uitenhage,
Kruisrivier, Despatch, St Albans and in and around
the Fairview racecourse in the last two months.
These were mostly unvaccinated or poorly
vaccinated horses on smallholdings. About 70%
of the horses died.
