About Ayrshire College
Ayrshire College formed as a result of
the Scottish Government reform ‘Putting
Learners at the Centre - Delivering our
Ambitions for Post-16 Education’ whereby
the previous colleges in the region were
merged and became one educational
entity with multiple campuses established
across Ayrshire. Regionalisation, as the
process was known, was a challenging
time as it meant, in effect, three
different ways of working, including
systems, had to be brought together
8
and clear decisions made to ensure
Ayrshire College delivered high-quality
learning and teaching experiences within
a supportive, inclusive and diverse
environment.
The College continues to move forward
positively in these respects and
embraces fully its role and position as
a community-focused, regional college
impacting on lives and influencing
change far beyond Ayrshire.
