32 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 appointments & management Honeywell, British Council, LEAP Africa train students Ife Ogunfuwa T hE honeywell Group has partnered the British Council and LEAP Africa, a not-for-profit organisation, to organise a two-week intensive corporate internship initiative to enable students from different secondary schools in Lagos to gain work experience. A statement on Tuesday stated that the programme tagged ‘Fast Forward,’ was co- funded by the British Council in Nigeria and the MacArthur Foundation. According to the organisers, the life-changing and career-inspiring programme is designed to equip young Nigerians with required employability skills and address practical- knowledge gaps using the work-based learning approach for 1,000 beneficiaries across Lagos, Rivers and Cross River states. Commenting on Honeywell Group’s decision to support the Fast Forward initiative, Head, Group human Resources of the company, Mrs. Juliana Esezobor, said, “The group’s involvement in the programme further demonstrates its commitment to promoting business orientation and education, especially among young Nigerians.
