My father always wanted me to be a mechanic but I was never into that. I wanted to do my own thing. I did get serious about life when I realized that I was heading for as we Jamaicans say “Cruff” I decided to go back to school and get a trade. As my father always said “you need to get a trade” so that’s what I did, just not the trade he wanted me to do. That’s just a small preview of my come up. MB: You were also interested in architecture. Are you still furthering your studies in this career? S: Well yes I really liked drawing but I just did architecture to have a trade but it wasn’t a love just something I liked and did at the time just so I could show my father I could do anything that I put my mind to. As far as furthering my studies in it I have no intentions on even opening a book about it. {laughs} I am music and music is me. MB: What kind of jobs did you have prior to breaking out as an artist? S: I had all types of jobs but mostly sales. My first job was the longest I have ever had which was one year and that was a delivery driver at a stationery company. After that I migrated to the states. My first job here was a sales rep at Nissan, then cable a guy at Time Warner, then a grill cook at a university, then pest control inspector and I could go on and on and on but I have never stayed at any of these jobs more than 3 months because my focus is on my music. MB: Who or what was the motivational factor in your life that helped push you into becoming an artist? S: I would have to say my Mother and a keyboard she brought back from the states when I was around 9 or 10, that was definitely the introduction to the love I would discover later in my life. The motivational factor was one day in class I started beating on the desk and vibing with friends Kardo and Smooth and we grabbed the attention of the entire class and that moment was the moment I knew music was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I also have to say my good friends Adrian Dale, Darrio Roger n Robert, Mighty, Papa, Ice and of course KARDO. These friends also play a major role in me discovering my love for music.
