My year asMiss Michigan Teen USA 2014 has changed my life forever. I think that every titleholder says this, but that is because it is so true. The words may sound the same, but the meaning behind them is as individual to the person who lived them. This experience has developed in me, a sense of self strength. It has taught me how to accept every part of who I am and helped me learn how to work with what I have. I have realized that although I have flaws, I’m not any less for them. Miss Universe Organization wants to see me for exactly who I am and celebratethe beautiful ME. I could have never imagined the love and support that I would recieve from the Miss Universe Organization. It is something that will live in my heart forever.
I have realized that by taking a chance and not settling for anything less than my best, I can get where I want to go in life. The changes that I have faced have brought out exactly who I am and I have found more value and meaning toward life and more insight into myself by taking a chance. I am so thankful that I took a chance and signed up for an experience of a lifetime. It is my hope that you will sign up for yours, whatever it may be, because there are no guarantees in life but I believe there is great power in uncertainty. Although nothing can completely eliminate our doubts or worries, having confidence in ourselves truly is a strength that doesn’t let anything stand in the way of what we want. I am not afraid to discover how strong I really am nor cower from the hardwork it may take to achieve the high goals that I have for my life. I have found that by doing what I can with the best of what I have can make a significant difference in the world and in the lives of others."
