As part of a one-year pilot program, the City of Arlington and Drive.ai are rolling out a fleet of three self-driving, three- passenger vans to provide a unique transportation option within Arlington’s world-class Entertainment District. These self-driving vans will travel alongside other vehicles at speeds up to 35 miles per hour to select pick-up and drop-off locations within the service area, which includes AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Park, Texas Live!, the Arlington Convention Center and the CenterPoint Office Complex. With this partnership, Arlington is the first Texas city to offer an on-demand, on-street, self-driving shuttle to the public. The service, which began Friday, Oct. 19, is free of charge to the public.
