Each Golf Specific Training class is a 45-minute class held in the small group studio . This is a program specifically for golf , focusing on exercises to help improve core , strength , flexibility , conditioning , posture , mobility , range of motion , and balance .
The class is divided into segments : the first begins with stretching , which encompasses flexibility and mobility . Then we move into a warm-up segment to get the heart rate up . Then comes the strength segment , followed by a cool down . The Golf Specific Training class not only provides exercises specific to muscles used in golf , but helps you as the golfer to be able to understand and educate yourself on why we are performing these exercises . A strong foundation , which most golfers have , comes from their numerous golf lessons and experience over the years . This has taught you how to play golf . Golf Specific Training helps you to become a stronger and more powerful golfer . This class isn ' t going to change the way you swing your club , but rather it will show you what muscles you are using to swing your golf club and how you can strengthen those muscles for a more powerful swing , which will in turn help you with your distance .
" The golf exercise program is geared towards proper stretches and strengthening , and the golf instruction segment is invaluable in showing the proper technique for each individual ' s swing ." says Joe deJuliis , HAC member who took both the class and golf lessons .
" I have been teaching golf for close to thirty years . In that time , I have met very few individuals that have the knowledge and willingness to help individuals with their personal fitness for this very hard game ! Denise is a true motivational trainer that encourages each individual to attain their personal goals ,” says Dave Seeman .

Corrective flexibility helps to improve muscle imbalances by using range of motion to flex , extend , or rotate . For example , in this class , we may do arm circles , which is a basic movement that focuses on good range of motion around the shoulder complex .
After stretching , we move into flexibility and mobility . Mobility is the combination of both joint range of motion and flexibility as described above .
