BALANCE in your diet

It ’ s no secret that eating healthy has its challenges . Between cost , taste concerns , and lack of time , many people choose the easy way out and go with cheap , salty , fast foods . For those of us who have chosen a healthier path of natural , wholesome foods , we sometimes find ourselves getting bored with the same meals every day .
There was a time when I felt as though I was eating the same salad for lunch everyday . Eventually , I started to dread lunchtime , thinking , “ Oh great , here we go again .”
When I became bored with my healthy dishes , I could have taken one of two paths : resort back to cheap and easy meals , or get creative ! Eating healthy meals doesn ’ t have to become a drag . In fact , you can make many different kinds of dishes by using similar foods – all you need is a bit of imagination ! Many health professionals suggest rotating between a list of options for each meal of the day . For example , think of five different meals you could have for breakfast . By picking between these options every morning , you are allowing yourself to consume a variety of flavors on a regular basis , which will prevent you from getting tired of eating the same thing every day . Here are some different options to choose from for each meal . By making minor tweaks with each meal , your meals will never be dull !
BREAKFAST
2 EGGS - your choice of style , with veggies ( cheese optional ) Style : fried , over easy , poached , scrambled , omelet , hard boiled Sauted veggies - mushrooms , tomato , onions , peppers ,
OATMEAL with apple slices , walnuts , cinnamon , berries , bananas , almonds , or coconut .
COTTAGE CHEESE with peaches , pineapple , melon , strawberries , or blueberries .
AVOCADO spread on whole wheat toast with a poached egg
FRUIT SMOOTHIE with any assortment of fruits inside !
